  hey everybody :)

  so i am curious about the jw's on here that are still in good standing.

  even after i was df'd i still had the brainwash in my head telling me not to go onto an internet site discussing jw issues.

  i can say that it took me some time to feel like a normal human being - although in the meantime i realized that JWs are not the only screwed people by far.

  here in the uk we're paying over a 1 a litre for regular unleaded fuel, that's about $9 per gallon for my american friends.

  now i'm as aware as anyone that the bulk of my fuel pound goes to the government in duty (or fuel tax) but let's just look at the bottom line cost to you and i as motorists - 1/litre.. just getting the the damn stuff out of the ground is dangerous and expensive, especially at offshore rigs.

  then you have to transport it, refine it and transport it again.

  Standing outside a pub smoking a cig and along comes an elder...

  i go to this pub (sort of like a cheers tv kinda pub) and since we can't smoke in there we have to step outside.

  last tuesday (on a meeting night) an elder all dressed up walks past me on the same side walk.

  he glances at me so i gave a nod gester.

  i would have taken a beer. one time there was a gilette-truck out in the parking lot (gilette is a brand of razors) offering to test their new product. as i'm always wearing a beard or unshaved, they approached me and i agreed - so instead of going to the meeting i sat in the parking lot and shaved, while everyone was passing by. lol.
  
  we had breaks too, until the CO stopped it, because "the society does not want that".

  Primary Concern(s) for Witnesses

  do you feel one of the the primary concerns for most witnesses still in who are faced with the 'concept' of leaving is where else do we go?

  afterall just about everything is tarnished by the watchtower society in the mind of every dub.

  definately. that's the first question you get. in a kind of rethorical way - and changing the actual words taken from the gospels: "where else could we go to?" (instead of "who else").
  
  after years of JW indoctrination you NEED some hierarchy to follow. because you are simply not used to think for yourself. and thinking aint that easy.

  the purpose of the WT is to be partially underlined, preferrably using neon colored markers that can be seen 6 rows behind you to make a spiritual(TM) impression.

  sorry mate, but history and tradition aint on you'r side. your definition of marriage is right from the bible (and even the bible allows for other kinds of marriage) and tradition based on the bible.
